Various companies offer the opportunity to go on an excursion by sail boat, such as the Business Yachtclub Barcelona who offer a three hour sailing experience suitable for beginners or experts alike. You can either learn the ropes, or just sit back and enjoy the Barcelona waterfront from a different perspective. After a quick safety briefing, the skipper teaches you basic sailing skills such as how to steer and work the sails, and then hands over to you.
